Sorawat Sangkaew
Sorawat completed his medical degree from Prince of Songkla University and then worked as a general practitioner in a community hospital in Thailand for 2 years. Afterwards he was sponsored by the Royal Thai Government Scholarship to study for his MSc and PhD. He completed his MSc in Epidemiology in 2017 and is currently studying for a PhD in Clinical Medicine Research at Imperial College London. His research interests include developing clinical prediction models and exploiting machine leaning techniques in clinical prediction. The aims of his PhD project are developing clinical prediction models for dengue severity in a primary care setting. His role involves identifying clinical predictors, and developing and evaluating clinical prediction models with machine learning techniques. The project collaborators are Imperial College London, Queen Sirikit National Institute of Child Health and Oxford University Clinical Research Unit (OUCRU) in Vietnam.
