NERC GW4+ Doctoral Student based at the Natural History Museum, working in collaboration with the University of Bath.
Patrick's research focuses on the diversity of eukarryotic microorganisms in the polar regions. Patrick is particularly interested in the ecological functions of protists and fungi in freshwater ecosystems. His research primarily utilises environmental DNA sampling from Arctic and Antarctic lakes, ponds and rivers to investigate microbial ecology using amplicon sequencing and metagenomics.
