Mr Stephen Nash

Stephen research activites are focused on two main areas: I divide my time between two strands of work:

a) The provision of statistical advice to the Ugandan Virus Research Institute. In particular, he works on data from the General Population Cohort, a long-running study based in rural south-west Uganda.

b) Methodological research. This is often related to spatial aspects of data. Current projects include a simulation study of GPS sampling (in the absence of a sampling frame) and estimating population sizes using satellite imagery.
