Jacob Stapley

Before commencing my 1+3 MRes+PhD studentship (funded by the MRC) at Imperial College London, Jacob obtained an integrated master's degree (MBio) in biomedical science from the University of Warwick, undertaking a year in consumer healthcare research at GlaxoSmithKline as part of that programme. Since beginning at Imperial, working under the guidance of Prof. Maria-Gloria Basanez, Jacob followed his deep interest in understanding and reducing the current healthcare burdens impacting LMICs. His research has thus far focused specifically on modelling the impact of pharmacological intervention upon the prevalence of onchocerciasis-associated epilepsy within Cameroon.
