Anita is an epidemiologist focusing on infectious disease. Her current research includes:
- Title: Zika, chikungunya, and dengue virus infection in Aedes aegypti and Culex quinquefasciatus and associations with clinical outcomes related to Zika virus in Recife, Brazil, 2015 – 2017. [PI] Position: Principal Investigator. Partners: LSHTM, Ministry of Health’s Instituto Aggeu Magalhaes (IAM/FIOCRUZ), Filariasis Control Program of Olinda, Secretary of Health of Olinda. Funders: US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Zika Epidemic Response, 2016-18.
