Abdourahman Dem
Abdourahman Dem graduated from the University of The Gambia in 2014 and has since been working with the Medical Research Council, The Gambia. From 2014 until 2018, Abdourahman has been working in the malaria diagnostic laboratory for different projects. This includes the Prinogam, Safeprim, Sniffer Dogs and Roopfs. Her tasks include the collection of samples, processing i.e. malaria microscopy, ELISA, PCR, DNA &RNA extraction and storage. She has also briefly worked in the entomology laboratory. In 2018, Abdourahman joined the biobank where she is doing sample repository and monitoring using the easy log cloud software. Abdourahman is also supervising interns and new staff and helping in the day to day running of the facility. Outside of her work, Abdourahman uses her spare time for community work such as environmental sanitation and community development issues.
