Santiago Gomez

Research Assistant

Santiago Gomez has experience as a Research Assistant (Data Manager) for the Geshiyaro Project, an STH and SCH transmission-break programme in Ethiopia. The project is funded by the Children Investment Fund Foundation and works alongside the Ethiopian Public Health Institute, the Federal Ministry of Health, Simprints and World Vision. The goal of the project is to evaluate the impact an improved MDA and WaSH intervention has on interrupting STH and SCH transmission. Santiago has previous experience working on Dengue fever surveillance in Colombia under the Colombia-Wisconsin One Health Consortium and on neonatal health in The Gambia under the Medical Research Council Unit at The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. He holds an MSc in Control of Infectious Diseases from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and a BSc in Biological Sciences with Professional Training Year from Cardiff University.
